Jeannette Palma, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, CDFA®


 


            Jeannette received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.  Jeannette is currently enrolled in an Executive MBA in Finance and Accounting Degree Program at Regis University.


 


            After completing the CFP Certification Program at C.W. Post College, Jeannette also completed the Executive Fast Track Intensive CFP Program at New York University instructed by Jeff Rattiner, CPA®, CFP®.  Jeannette earned the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner™ from The CFP Board of Standards when she successfully passed the exam on her first attempt.  She earned the Registered Financial Consultant, Chartered Financial Consultant® and Chartered Life Underwriter® designations through The American College.    Jeannette earned the professional designation of Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ through the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. 


 


Jeannette has served as an adjunct teacher at C.W. Post College where she has instructed the Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits section of the CFP Program.  She has completed Mediation Intensive Training through The Center for Mediation in Law and Collaborative Interdisciplinary Team Training through the Institute for Conflict Resolution.  These trainings qualify her to function as a Financial Neutral in the Mediation and/or Collaborative Dispute Resolution team process. Jeannette is currently participating in Supervised Mediation Practicum through The Family & Divorce Mediation Center in Manhattan. 


 


Jeannette is a member of The Financial Planning Association’s Long Island Chapter, The Association for Conflict Resolution Greater New York Chapter, The New  York State Council on Divorce Mediation, The International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, The New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, The Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, and The Divorce Financial Planning Network, Inc.


 


            In the Mediation/Collaborative dispute resolution arena, Jeannette brings her financial expertise to the table to help clients achieve win-win outcomes.  She is committed to a mutually respectful team approach consisting of clients, lawyers, mental health professionals and financial neutrals.  Jeannette is a Mediator with Mended Lives Dispute Resolution, LLC and a Financial Neutral in the Collaborative Practice process of conflict/dispute resolution.


 


            Jeannette has served as Graduate Assistant to Public Speaking Instructors at The Dale Carnegie Institute after having received public speaking awards from her peers for, “Outstanding Performance” and “Highest Achievement” in the course entitled, Effective Public Speaking and Human Relations.  She has also completed The Dale Carnegie course entitled, Presentation Skills.   


 


Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®,CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP (with flame logo)®, which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements.
