Background, Focus Areas and Recognition: Jody graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Bucknell University with a concentration in Business, and fromRutgers Medical School as a Physician’s Assistant. She started her working life in the medical andpharmaceutical industries. Jody focuses her practice in the areas of holistic financial planning and wealthmanagement for individuals and closely held businesses using a goal-based, holistic approach to their finances.She focuses in the areas of retirement and estate planning strategies, having obtained a Certificate inRetirement Planning from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She received the “Women’sChoice Award” for Financial Advisors from 2014 through 2025, highlighted in USA Today, as one of the top 100advisors for women in the United States, is a multi-year Five Star Wealth Manager awarded by NJ MonthlyMagazine and was named in the Forbes 2026 Top Women Wealth Advisors. She recently completed theColumbia University Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach Course. Jody has been working with Family LawAttorneys and Mediators for over 15 years providing insight into the financial issues surrounding divorce toassist individuals in achieving a fair and equitable settlement, but most importantly to assist in making decisionsthat give them a clear view of their future and a path towards achieving their life goals. She helps them feelempowered to move forward towards a brighter future. Jody is a CDFA , (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst)and belongs to the New Jersey Collaborative Law Group. Community Impact and Involvement: Jody is active in the Financial Planning Association of NJ and lectures at the Institute for Continuing LegalEducation and the Women’s Center at Morris County Community College. She is the CEO and Board Chair ofCommunity in Crisis; a non-profit dedicated towards taking the stigma out of addiction, working on preventionand education around the heroin/opiate epidemic and providing sobriety support to individuals struggling. Sheis a member of the Morristown Chamber of Commerce and is a frequent contributor to the Star Ledger andnj.com and has been quoted in Forbes, Barron’s, the Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, NerdWallet, Fortune,Real Simple and cnn.com. Jody received the Statewide YMCA “Social Responsibility Champion” Award and theFreedom House “Citizen of the Year” Award in 2015 for her work with “Community in Crisis” and the Women ofLeadership Award by the Boy Scouts of America in 2016. She was awarded the “Hometown Hero” Award fromthe Somerset County Commission on Women, the AXA “Hearts in Action” and the Invest in Others, “CatalystAward” winner in 2017. Jody received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Somerset County Y in 2018. Personal: Jody is active with St. James Church and enjoys tennis, paddle tennis, swimming, yoga, walking her 2 dogs,reading and traveling but mostly spending time with her family at the Jersey shore.
