Shelly offers a financially focused divorce strategy and support for individuals (not couples), with state-specific expertise in Washington State.

In addition to being a CDFA^® , Shelly is a CDC Certified Divorce Coach® and an experienced financial coach who helps with practical planning as well as financial understanding and strategies during an emotional time. 

She educates, inspires, and empowers her clients to make the most of this life transition and to use it as an opportunity to become more financially savvy -- while advocating for a divorce settlement that funds their new life.

Shelly graduated magna cum laude from Smith College in Massachusetts with a B.A. in American Studies. She literally sailed into Port Townsend in her early 20s and has lived there ever since. Early work experiences in maritime and environmental education and journalism informed her later work in the financial industry, always staying focused on "people and planet."

From 2014-17, she worked at Gale Investment Management, where she passed the Series 7 and 66 exams, then transitioned to tax and small business advising, volunteering as an AARP Tax Aide for three tax seasons and working at an all-women CPA-led firm from 2018-2025. She's been a financial coach since 2019 and (in the wake of her own divorce) divorce coach since 2022. 

Shelly works primarily with clients who are divorcing in Washington State, both virtually and in person.
