Dan Burnett has an investment career that spans two of the most dramatic financial collapses in market history: The “Tech Bubble”—early 2000’s and the “Great Recession”—2008. He began his investment career after a brief stint as social worker providing drug and alcohol counseling. He helped found Long Green Planning Group in 2005 after several years of working with a regional broker-dealer. Dan has been able to utilize his counseling skills when establishing and nourishing relationships with clients. Education, trust and honesty are core values that are stressed. He provides investment counsel, divorce and retirement planning to individuals, families and business owners. Over the years, Dan has recognized a need to inform and educate divorcing couples and individuals to look beyond their final divorce date and understand how divorce is going to impact them financially. Through experience and training, his guidance adds a layer of financial expertise to help clients better understand the financial ramifications of a settlement. Dan received his BA in Political Science from University of Northern Colorado. Dan lives with his son Jackson and daughter Charlotte in Fort Collins, CO. He has a passion for mountain biking, trail running, traveling, skiing, big mountain adventures and reading. In the community, Dan is the vice-president of the board of directors for Ciclismo Youth Foundation, a Colorado 501 (c)(3) getting kids on bikes. Dan holds the Series 7 & 66 security registrations. |
