Betty Hedrick, CFP®, CDFA® has worked in financial services since 1984. She began her career developing risk-management programs in financial markets, oil and gas, and agricultural commodities for corporate and municipal clients of International Futures, Inc., grounding her work in valuation, risk assessment, and disciplined analysis.

In 1986, she founded The Hedrick Co., providing comprehensive financial planning for families and small businesses. The firm transitioned to a fee-only model in 1994. In 2025, its ongoing planning and investment relationships transitioned to The Capeloto & Hedrick Co., allowing Betty to focus her work exclusively on divorce financial analysis through Betty Hedrick Divorce Solutions LLC.

Betty became a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® in 2003 after observing that many divorce settlements appeared equitable on the surface but did not hold up under long-term financial scrutiny. Property divisions often overweight illiquid assets, misunderstand pension or executive compensation structures, or produce materially different outcomes than either party anticipates. Once finalized, property settlements are difficult to unwind.

Her work centers on clear, measurable analysis of proposed agreements. She evaluates asset division, pensions, executive compensation, business interests, liquidity, and sustainability across market cycles so clients and attorneys understand the long-term financial impact of settlement options before decisions are finalized.

She works on a fee-only basis and does not condition her divorce analysis on future investment management.
