Kate Schiefelbein has been in the Financial Services Industry since 2013. She joined the Strange Wealth Advisory Group  of Janney Montgomery Scott in 2022 and serves as Associate Vice President / Wealth Management, Financial Advisor. Previously, Kate was with Truist Wealth (formerly BB&T Scott & Stringfellow) as a Financial Advisor. Kate and the team offer a client-centered, service-oriented approach to investment management, focusing on helping clients make their financial decisions within the context of their lifetime goals and ambitions.

Having a strong interest in her community, Kate served as Treasurer of the board of trustees for Orchard House Middle School, a middle school for girls in Richmond. She was a member of Richmond’s Junior League, an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action and leadership. Kate also served as Chair of the Young Professionals Leadership Council for the Virginia Chapter and Chair of Tomorrow's Leaders of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She was nominated as one of Richmond’s Finest 2019 by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as an outstanding professional in her community.

She attended the University of Lynchburg where she earned her degree in Economics. She holds her Series 7 and 66 licenses, and is a licensed insurance agent. Kate also is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® professional and Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC). Kate and her husband, William, live in Glen Allen with their son, Ford and daughter, Millie.
