Welcome! Let me tell you a little about myself - David Smith, CDFA®, CQS™, ChFC®, CASL®, D.M.D., Ret LtCol USAF, and owner of Sand Oak Divorce Solutions, LLC. To start, I have over 19 years of diverse experience as a financial professional, went through my own divorce, saw SIX additional divorces occur ... just in my own family ... and have been working as a CDFA® since 2005. In February 2025, my office relocated from Panama City, Florida to Chattanooga, Tennessee, but I still assist clients nationwide. I feel that I am very well equipped to assist my clients, having unique skills as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, Certified QDRO Specialist™, Chartered Financial Consultant®, and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living®. I also am a Military Divorce Specialist and retired military dental officer who graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry in 1982 with my D.M.D degree. 

In addition, I hold my Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses, Florida non-resident life, health and variable annuity license; and Tennesssee resident life, health and variable annuity license, and practice as a Holistic Financial Organizer and Coordinator to provide post-divorce financial planning services through my additional business, Sand Oak Financial Partners, LLC. 

I am here to help you answer those tough financial questions related to your divorce situation – whether military or otherwise, and focus on assisting clients by providing the education to help them understand and resolve the complex financial issues of their divorce. We work together either on an hourly or flat fee basis, and I provide divorce specific advice and support throughout the entire process. While assisting with your divorce, you will not be sold any financial products, nor will I be compensated on commission. In my spare time, I LOVE early morning walks and listening to podcasts, along with composting food and recyling as much as humanly possible.
