With over 30 years in the financial services industry, Steve has developed a highly focused approach to financial planning. In addition to the CFP© designation, Steve holds the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and the CDFA® (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®) designations. His financial experience has been invaluable in helping individuals going through the divorce process. With over 19 years, he has worked with individuals and couples considering, in the middle of, or have completed a divorce. In many situations, it is the unknown aspect of the financial piece which adds to the emotional burden that comes with such a life changing event. Steve has helped his clients understand how particular assets may help a financial situation better than others. In doing so, he has generated reports to illustrate various proposals and offers for consideration. This has been an invaluable tool when working with family law attorneys and CPAs. He enjoys and appreciates the relationship he has with his clients. He tries to put himself in each individual’s shoes when helping them define their needs, and meet their financial goals. Prior to joining Willamette Financial Advisors, LLC in Lake Oswego, he was co-founder and Vice President of Wealth Strategies Group, LLC, a growing boutique financial planning services firm in Memphis, TN. Originally from Long Island, NY, Steve spent more than 40 years in Tennessee before moving to Portland with his wife, Tracy, and daughter, India. They also have two sons, Nathan and Adam.
