He is a graduate of the University of West Florida College of Business and Pensacola Christian College and has over 20 years of banking, accounting and financial advisory experience.

Some of his community activities include the Financial Literacy Program of Escambia County, board member of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Foundation, Past President - Tallahassee Regional Estate Planning Council, Past Chair - West Florida FICPA Chapter, and Past Treasurer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of NW Florida.
