Having been divorced myself after 20 years of marriage, I can certainly emphasize and relate to the emotional upheaval of going through the process. I have a special interest in divorce, and nothing is more gratifying than helping a person prepare for the next and better phase of his/her life. Savant is a fee-only fiduciary where we put clients' interests first, and this is critical when you might be vulnerable and distracted while going through this process. I have been involved in the financial services industry since 1985. My goal is to provide my clients with the best possible experience while managing all aspects of the financial planning and investment process. Prior to joining Savant, I gained financial reporting experience in public accounting and private industry. After my tenure at a “Big Eight” firm, I managed the financial reporting department for an insurance company in Chicago. Locally, I served as an accountant for a medical practice, and worked as a litigation support consultant. I graduated with high distinction (top 10%) from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting. I'm a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst ®(CDFA®) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (TM). I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois Certified Public Accountant Society, and the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts. I'm an active supporter of the Winnebago County Medical Society Alliance, the Rockford Garden Club, and serve on the Board of the Cedar Point Park Homeowner's Association Board. I have three children, Grace, Max and Jack. Among many interests, I enjoy reading, skiing, gardening, opera, water sports and spending time in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I joined Team Savant in February 2015 and work in Rockford, Chicago, Lake Geneva and wherever my clients are located. Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc.
