James R. Taylor is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™) and an independent business owner located in Etobicoke serving Greater Toronto/South Western Ontario for the past 24 years.


In 1998, Financial Health Management Group Inc. was created to enhance advisory and advocacy services to executives, private family business owners, individuals and their families in reaching their life goals. In order to assist in these objectives our organization has continued to pursue targeted knowledge that keeps us ahead of the curve.  James  obtained his Master Class in Financial Planning and Serious Illness (1991), became a Certified Lifestyle Planning Coach (2001), completed the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) challenge examination in December 2004 earning the designation in March 2005 , and earned his Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) qualifications in April 2005, followed by Collaborative Law Levels I & II in June and November of the same year studying with Dr. Barbara Landau, PhD, LL.B, LL.M. a renowned expert in her field.

In dealing with the daily lives of our client’s one of the major areas of change we experience is Separation/Divorce.  Matrimonial transition has a significant impact on the financial health and well-being of all stakeholders in the relationship.


 


As a CDFA®, James is exclusively trained to deal with the financial aspects of divorce for both individuals and couples.  We work comfortably in the traditional negotiating model of divorce as well as the alternative models of meditation and collaborative practice.  Our role in the family law process is to provide valuations of the financial impact of property and support settlements.

  • Fee for Service Engagement – Our divorce settlement valuation services are charged on an hourly basis + expenses through a letter of engagement.  A retainer deposit is required to proceed towards a financially equitable divorce settlement
