I am a financial professional with over forty years of accounting, tax, financial planning, and business consulting experience. I am a CPA and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®). I am trained in the Collaborative Divorce model of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. I am a founding member of the Collaborative Divorce Network of Northern California and an Associate Member of the Sacramento Collaborative Practice Group. I offer my clients an in-depth understanding of the financial aspects of marital dissolution. Whether analyzing and/or calculating separate vs. community interests, tracing, or forensic investigation, I have the ability to decipher, analyze complex financial affairs in a straightforward and easy-to-understand work product. Closely-held businesses, flow-through entities (e.g. partnerships, S corporations, limited liability partnerships, and companies), executive compensation plans (stock options, non-compete agreements, qualified and nonqualified retirement arrangements, etc.) all present unique challenges and issues. I help my clients obtain a fuller understanding and navigate through these complexities. It is important that both parties in a divorce understand the long-term effect of financial decisions made today. What appears good initially may not be beneficial in the long term. Reaching a satisfactory financial settlement is a critical part of the divorce process. Doing so while preserving and supporting the individual dignity of the parties is also important. Whether working as an advocate or as a joint-neutral (mediation or collaborative), I am committed to helping my clients achieve both. |
