Michelle founded Divorce Smart after going through her own less-than-optimal divorce. She has over 25 years of experience in both investment management and financial planning. She is also the owner of Wealth Planning Group which provides full-service financial planning and investment management in addition to her role as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst at Divorce Smart. Michelle is a Certified Financial Planner, (CFP®), a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®), and is trained in both mediation and collaborative divorce. Michelle is a member of the Financial Planning Association, Team Women, National Association of Women Business Owners, Minnesota Women Lawyers, Minnesota Collaborative Law Institute, Academy of Professional Family Mediators, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution division.
