In your search to find and select a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA™), DON'T look just at the designation. You need to look beyond that, because some in the Sarasota/Manatee area have little or NO practical experience in the financial service profession. Some clain to have experience because they took a class in 2008, but did nothing with it many years. They have no general securities knowledge, training or working experience having never taken or passed a series 7 test. They meet only the basic requirements to have an RIA Firm, even worse they have NO real life experience or formal training with health or life insurance and annuities. Having only obtained a 214 insurance license in 2014! You can check securities (FINRA) qualifications/experience at www.finra.org and Florida insurance qualifications at www.myfloridacfo.com/data/aar_alis1/
