Founder and Certified Financial Planner at Chisholm Financial Planning and Investments, Jenny Erdmann focuses on advising clients in areas including personal financial planning, retirement income planning, retirement planning, asset management, inheritance and gift planning.  Additionally, as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, she works with individuals, family law attorneys, and mediators on financial matters related to divorce.  This includes structuring financial settlements, analyzing and recommending division of property, and counseling the client regarding financial issues post-divorce. 


As a financial mediator at Pacific Coast Divorce Mediation, Jenny assisted couples with a wide range of financial complexities related to divorce.  In addition, she works with individuals throughout the divorce process weighing their options and developing a plan for distributing assets and starting fresh once the divorce process has been finalized. 


After receiving her law degree from California Western School of Law Jenny practiced as an estate planning, business transaction, and tax attorney.  Because of this experience, she views much of her financial planning from a legal paradigm; shaping her guidance on many of the financial issues routinely faced by clients.   Throughout her career, Jenny has continued to be highly involved with the legal community by providing MCLE for attorney organizations and consulting with Pacific Coast Mediation specifically on issues of divorce and asset division.  She is also a founding member and Chief Financial Officer of The Source Professional Group, an association of fellow California Western Law School graduates hoping to build a diverse community of business associates through education and community events.


Local involvement is an important component of Jenny’s life.  She is heavily involved with the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society of San Diego, where she utilized her professional training to provide financial casework services for both active duty and retired military.  Through that organization she also provides educational training and seminars designed to help service members understand and implement successful financial strategies specific to their situation.  Jenny can often be  found enjoying the sunshine on Coronado island.
